Christmas has come. I was looking outside for the snow that seems to be associated with it but I could not see any. It is odd, because many of the Christmas cards that mum and dad got had snow covered scenes on them, so I thought it was the norm. But all I see is grey skies.
I’m very happy, because Miles has come to stay for Christmas. He brought his human, Aunty Flo with him. I think he needs her to wheel the case he travels in. Purely by coincidence, it turns out that Aunty Flo is mum’s sister, so they let her stay as well. That was extremely convenient, otherwise Miles might not have had any transport home.
Matthew and Hannah came around for Christmas dinner. They brought more presents, but nothing for me or Miles.
Here is everybody on Christmas day.
Apparently, it is tradition to get presents at Christmas. Most of them are supposedly delivered by a big jolly chap who people refer to as Santa. He didn’t bring anything for me though. I think that is discrimination against bears.
However, the observant amongst you may notice that I did get something new. Yes – I now have trousers. They are in a “shocking pink” colour. I thought that was a derogatory name, but I am assured that it actually is the correct term. I think they look smart.
These were made especially for me by mum’s friend Julie. She plays golf with mum, and I met her when mum took me to the driving range with Julie. I made a new friend there, Daphne, I have to say Daphne was very nice, but I didn’t like the way Julie stuck her golf club up Daphne’s bottom. But Daphne told me that was normal, and it was her job to keep the club warm and dry. And she said it was a very responsible job, and Julie would not be able to hit the ball if her club was wet. So, if Daphne is happy, I guess that is alright.
Well, I think that is it for 2024. I’ll see you in 2025.
